“Legend Has It” is a work inspired after listening to the music of Cosmo Sheldrake, and was created in awe of the natural world. Sheldrake often uses imaginative instrumentation with lyrics filled with references to nature and folklore, including recordings of birds, insects and other creatures in his soundscapes.

“Legend Has It” was constructed with no backing. Each magazine cutting was sewn directly to the edges of one another with cotton thread. An imperfect rectangle, the bottom edge lays slightly curved. And free from frames on three sides, subtle movements bring this piece to life.
